PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for indicating on a display for a driver, a balancing state of tires. SOLUTION: For a processor 8 to monitor abrasion of ground plane based on the acceleration in the radial direction and horizontal direction of tires detected by sensors 2 and 4, fast Fourier transform of the accelerations in radial and horizontal directions is conducted and the amplitude of resonance frequency in 5 to 14 Hz range is determined. The determined amplitude is compared with the resonance frequency in 5 to 14 Hz range of tier in good balancing conditions. When the displacement is over a specific value, the balancing state is determined to be good. Bad balancing state is indicated on a display since an alert signal is transmitted in the vehicle by a transmission circuit 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
