PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect lowering of air pressure of a wheel with high reliability. SOLUTION: The rotating speed V1 of the left front wheel T1, the rotating speed V2 of the right front wheel T2, the rotating speed V3 of the left rear wheel T3, and the rotating speed V4 of the right rear wheel T4 are detected with rotating speed sensors S1 to S4, and the yaw rate of a vehicle is detected with a yaw rate sensor Sγ. The deviation among the front wheel yaw rateγF generated due to the different of the rotating speed between the front wheels T1, T2, the rear wheel yaw rateγR generated due to the difference of the rotating speed between the rear wheels T3, T4, and the value of the yaw rate sensor Sγare respectively calculated, and the rate of change of the deviation with respect to the vehicle speed Vv is checked to detect lowering of the air pressure.
