PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder discrimination device in an engine, wherein the time from starting of an engine to completion of discrimination of the cylinder is reduced, a sequential injection is enabled from the rise time of a second cylinder signal, and optimization of injection timing due to early cylinder-discrimination and sequential injection enable decrease in fuel consumption and sufficient reduction of emission (HC). SOLUTION: The cylinder discrimination device comprises a control means provided with a cylinder-discriminating part, by which a cylinder is discriminated on the basis of an interval of falling between a falling position of an output waveform of a cylinder signal to be detected for the first time after a start of the engine and the rising position of an output waveform of the cylinder signal to be detected in the following time.
