PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide abrasive which prevents a deterioration in quality of the abrasive itself and polishes a workpiece into the one with high quality in a high yield in a short period of time, and enables an improvement in blast effects and productivity in a blast process, and also to provide a production method and device for the abrasive which prevents the presence of aggregated particles and enables an improvement in the blast effects and productivity in the blast process. SOLUTION: A molten metal M stored in a tundish 100 equipped with an injection nozzle 110 is heated with a heating coil 120 and injected from the injection nozzle 110. A high-pressure fluid F is injected from an injection nozzle 130 to converge downwardly and enclose the molten metal M with its almost conical shape with a vertical angle of≥10°and < 30°, and the molten metal M is powderized to produce the abrasive.
