PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold tandem rolling mill which prevents surface defects of a metal strip such as heat scratches or pressing-in defects while rolling speed is maintained. SOLUTION: The cold tandem rolling mill is provided with a plurality of auxiliary rolls along a pass line for the metal strip. At least one auxiliary roll is equipped with a cleaning device for the auxiliary rolls which can spray cleaning oil to a surface of the roll. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
