PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a coating film of an active energy ray-curing coating material by which the cured coating film having elongation to suppress the occurrence of cracks can be obtained. SOLUTION: The method for forming the cured coating film of the active energy ray-curing coating material comprises heating the active energy ray-curing coating material containing radical polymerizable monomers (A) having a ternary amino group and/or amide group and a urethane (meth)acrylate resin (B) which does not dissolve in the radical polymerizable monomers (A) at a temperature of≤25°C and dissolves therein in the range from a temperature exceeding 25°C to 60°C to dissolve the urethane (meth)acrylate resin (B) into the radical polymerizable monomers (A) and applying the obtained coating material solution on a substrate surface, then curing the coating film of the coating material solution by irradiating the film with active energy rays.
