PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working efficiency, labor safety and productivity by coping with a dirty job consuming much of time, labor and expense as maintenance work. SOLUTION: In this cylinder cleaning brush unit, for removing foreign matter stuck to the surface of a cylinder 100 with a brush roller 2 while supplying a cleaning liquid, a flipper bar 3 is arranged on the downstream side from the contact position of the cylinder 100 with the roller 2 in the rotational direction of the roller 2 and on the upstream side from an opening 9 of the brush unit in the rotational direction of the roller 2, and a filter 10 is arranged in the opening 9 for capturing the foreign matter removed from the surface of the cylinder 100 before a tray. Since the foreign matter in waste cleaning liquid can be filtered by the filter 10, the charge necessary for correcting such a trouble can be lowered that the tray is fouled with sludgy foreign matter and a drain pipe or the like for discharging the waste cleaning liquid from the tray is clogged.
