The invention relates to protein C variants wherein the cleavage site between the light chain and the heavy chain has been removed, in particular by substitution of K156 and/or R157, with the proviso that the substitutions are not K156R and R157K. Such variants have a lowered anticoagulant activity while retaining their amidolytic and anti-inflammatory properties. |
