PURPOSE: A method for driving a data signal line, a circuit for driving a data signal line, and a display device using the circuit are provided to differentiate power consumptions at high resolution from low resolution. CONSTITUTION: A data signal line driving circuit(3) drives a plurality of data signal lines, respectively, so as to fetch a multi-phased video signal through a plurality of video signal lines(SL1-SLm) into the data signal lines. Data signal line groups, each made up of a predetermined number of the data signal lines are sequentially connected to each of the video signal lines. The data signal line driving circuit has a video signal fetching portion. The video signal fetching portion fetches the video signal from the video signal lines into the data signal lines in each block when collecting data signal line groups. The number is the data signal lines are the same as the number of the video signal lines.
