DRIVING APPARATUS OF SLIDING DOOR FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A driving apparatus of a sliding door for an air conditioner is provided to change the direction of the sliding door stably by engaging a pinion gear with a rack gear smoothly without friction, and to restrict displacement of the rack gear by minimizing moving clearance with contacting the multistage guide projection to the guide rail. CONSTITUTION: A driving apparatus of a sliding door includes a pinion gear(100) installed to a shaft of a driving motor(17) and a rack gear(200) engaged with the pinion gear to move the sliding door. A guide projection is formed at the side of the pinion gear and interlocked with the pinion gear. A guide rail(230) is formed in the rack gear, and composed of a guide groove(235) inserting and sliding the guide projection. The guide rail is moved along the guide projection in rotating the pinion gear to prevent the rack gear from being displaced from the pinion gear. The guide projection is stepped and the guide groove is stepped corresponding to the guide projection. Vibration of the rack gear is prevented with minimizing moving clearance by contacting the guide rail to the guide projection in changing the direction of the sliding door.
