PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize highly reliable and efficient communications when simultaneously and parallel transferring data from a single transfer source to a plurality of transfer destinations.

SOLUTION: When using isochronous transfer capable of simultaneously and parallel transferring data from a PC 1 to a plurality of printers 2 and asynchronous transfer for transferring data from the PC 1 to a single printer 2 to perform communications between the devices, when the data are transferred to the plurality of printers 2 by isochronous transfer and a receiving error occurs in at least one of the printers 2, the PC 1 selects one from among isochronous transfer and asynchronous transfer in accordance with the number of printers 2 where the receiving errors occur and uses the selected communication scheme to transfer again data wherein the receiving error occurs in the printer 2 where the receiving error occurs.
