<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with improved reliability for long term, having a display area formed by arranging a plurality of organic light emitting elements like EL elements, prevented from permeation of moisture and deterioration of displaying property against the operation for long period. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has the display area 120 composed of a plurality of organic light emitting elements formed by interposing an organic layer between a positive electrode and a negative electrode (102, 104), on a base board 101. The display area 120 is formed on a first insulating protection layer 106 formed on the base board 101, The surface of the base board 101 opposite to the surface on which the display area is formed, and whole peripheral part are covered by an insulating protection layer 107. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
