<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a prescribed speed difference between the running speed of transfer belts and the transporting speed of a recording paper by a resist roller regardless of the secular change in the resist roller characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming device, a recording paper sheet transported by a resist roller is transported to the image carrying bodies of each color by transfer belts and the toner images on the bodies are transferred onto the paper sheet. The running speed of the transfer belts and the transporting speed of the recording paper sheet by the resist roller are detected (S1 and S2) and the rotational speed of a resist motor is controlled (NO on S3, S4) so that the transporting speed of the paper sheet by the resist roller is made slightly faster than the running speed of the transfer belts while maintaining the prescribed speed difference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
