ROTATION ANGLE DETECTING DEVICE OF MOTOR AND ELECTRIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detecting device of a motor which can simplify structure more without deteriorating detection accuracy, and an electric power steering system equipped with the rotation angle detecting device.

SOLUTION: A rotation angle θO is detected with a magnet 55 arranged in a rotating shaft end portion of a motor, a magnetoresistive sensor 57 and a rotation angle operation part 61. Based on the rotation angle θ0, rotational speed Dθ and rotating acceleration DDθ are computed (S12, S13). In response to the rotational speed Dθ and the rotating acceleration DDθ, a speed correction value θC1 and an acceleration correction value θC2 are computed (S14, S15). By using the speed correction value θC1 and the acceleration correction value θC2, the detected rotation angle θ0 is corrected and a corrected rotational angle is computed.
