<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily share knowledge between users in an information provision processing system using annotation. <P>SOLUTION: Document ID and annotation position are registered in an annotation DB 216 (S100). An annotation processor 218 prepares an associated user list based on the information from a plurality of users (S102). At receiving a retrieval instruction, a target character string indicated by annotation is compared with registered annotation information. Then, the users whose interests are close are estimated according as the target character strings are compared, and the points of view of the other users are obtained by calculating the difference of the target character strings. The information of the difference of the target character strings is transferred to a document server 222 (S110), and a document associated with the difference of the target character strings in a document DB 224 is retrieved (S120). An annotation processor 218 returns the list of users whose interests are close, the points of view of the other users, and the information of associated documents to a document viewer 102 based on the retrieval result of the associated information and the associated user list (S130). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
