<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulletproof vest of polybenzasol, sufficiently maintaining strength even when exposed to a high-temperature and high-humidity atmosphere for a long time and having a high strength retaining rate and superior durability after exposed to xenon light. <P>SOLUTION: The polybenzasol includes a basic organic compound in the form of monomer or condensate consisting of p-phenylene diamine, m-phenylene diamine or their mixture which has a tensile strength retaining rate of 75% or higher after exposed to an atmosphere of temperature 80°C and relative humidity 80% for 700 hours.
