ALKALINE DEVELOPER SOLUTION FOR LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE, AND METHOD FOR MAKING LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline developer solution which suppresses production of scum or sludge derived from a photosensitive layer component even in a long-term running process and which can carry out a stable developing process in the plate making process from a lithographic printing original plate.

SOLUTION: The alkaline developer solution for a lithographic printing plate contains a silicon-containing compound expressed by a specified formula. The method for making a lithographic printing plate includes processes of exposing the lithographic printing original plate having an image forming layer on a supporting body and then of developing the plate with the above alkaline developer solution.
