<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an operating frequency in accordance with the amount of a load while retaining responsiveness. <P>SOLUTION: When a timing detection section 22 detects a timing at which the load is elevated, a load amount detection section 20 detects the amount of the load. When the detected amount of the load is not at such a level that sufficient responsiveness is obtained at operation based on the present operating frequency, a frequency switching control section 21 once sets the operating frequency to the maximum operating frequency and then switches and sets the operating frequency to the operating frequency in accordance with the detected amount of the load. Thus, the responsiveness is retained even if the amount of the load is rapidly elevated; and the operating frequency is shifted to the operating frequency in accordance with the implementation state of a process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
