<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen input display device, of ultrasonic pen input method, which will not cause increase in power consumption and lowering of sense of using pen input, and is less likely to cause malfunctions in the entire input area of a display panel. <P>SOLUTION: Ultrasonic signal, transmitted from an ultrasonic transmitter 31 of a pen 30 for input, is received with ultrasonic receivers 12, 13 of a unit 11 for pen input, based on the reception, respective distances (distance values A, B) between the ultrasonic transmitter 31 and the ultrasonic receivers 12, 13 are obtained. The distance values A, B are used for display control in the display panel 10, and at the same time, are outputted to reception sensitivity control parts 43, 44. The reception sensitivity control parts 43, 44 perform reception sensitivity control for reducing the level difference of reception waves received in the ultrasonic receivers 12, 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
