<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the utilization efficiency of network resources while preventing network management from being made complicated by automatically distributing a band to be used for communication between transmitting devices in accordance with free bands. <P>SOLUTION: When a plurality of bands of a transmission line are used by multiplexing and a plurality of channels are set to transmit data, a path for the channels is set, data are multiplexed and transmitted on the basis of the path of the channels, a free band in the transmission line is detected, the free band is appropriately distributed in accordance with the number of channel requests, and a path setting request for changing the number of channels is outputted on the basis of this distribution result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
