PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery management system and its charged state measuring method holding high measuring accuracy of the charged state through accurate learning of the discharging characteristics including the discharging capacity of the secondary battery, even if the deterioration of the secondary battery changes discharging characteristics, and reducing capacity jumping in particular. SOLUTION: In this battery management system 2, a charged state measuring part 6d measures the charged state of a secondary battery block 1 based on a difference between a prescribed discharge capacity and an accumulation value of a discharge current I (quantity of discharged electricity). A charged state correction part 6e substitutes a specific reference charged state for the measured value of the charged state for every determination point based on a discharge characteristic table in a memory 6a. A discharge characteristic table correction part 6g converts the discharge capacity from the discharge electric quantity between two determination points corresponding to two different reference charged states. A numerical value in the discharge characteristics table is corrected for every discharge so that the converted discharge quantities of various reference charged states pairs are coincided.
