PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery which prevents a lead from fracturing. SOLUTION: A battery can 1 contains at least a power generation element 2 and an insulation plate 3. The insulation plate 3 is placed on one side of the power generation element 2. A safety valve 9 seals the aperture of the battery can 1. A supporting member 14 is placed between the insulation plate 3 and the safety valve 9. The supporting member 14 is fixed to a disk 12 of the safety valve 9.
