PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press-fit an intermediate steering shaft into a second steering shaft by fitting a first steering shaft to the intermediate steering shaft, and applying the pressure in the axis-longitudinal direction to one end of the first steering shaft. SOLUTION: A steering device comprises a first steering shaft 1 with one end portion connected to a steering wheel and the other end portion having a fitting hole 1a, an intermediate steering shaft 4 fitted to the fitting hole 1a of the first steering shaft 1 in a relatively movable manner in the axis-longitudinal direction, and a second steering shaft 6 with the other end of the intermediate steering shaft 4 press-fitted therein. The first steering shaft 1 has a pressing portion 1c abutted on one end portion of the intermediate steering shaft 4 to apply the pressure to the intermediate steering shaft 4 in the axis-longitudinal direction, and the intermediate steering shaft 4 is press-fitted to the second steering shaft 6 by fitting the fitting hole 1a of the first steering shaft 1 to the intermediate steering shaft 4, and applying the pressure in the axis-longitudinal direction to one end of the first steering shaft 1.
