PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a motor which can reduce eddy current loss. SOLUTION: In this stator (10) for a motor which is constituted by winding a first field coil (16) and a second field coil (18) adjacently in the longitudinal direction of a field iron core on the field iron core (14) where field poles (12) are arranged circularly to constitute the field pole concerned, the second field coil wound on the side of the magnetic pole piece (15) of the field pole is constituted of a coil whose width in the longitudinal direction of the field iron core is smaller than the width in the longitudinal direction of the coil constituting the first field coil so that an eddy current generated by leaked magnetic flux within the second field coil is divided.
