A gasket capable of providing an excellent slidability and assuring sufficient sealability and airtighteness and installed so as to be slidably moved in an outer tube (2). The gasket (3) comprises a gasket body (5) and having ring-shaped projected parts (53, 54) formed on the outer peripheral part thereof, a resin film (6) installed so as to cover the tip face (55) and the projected parts (53, 54) of the gasket body (5) and formed of a material lower in the coefficient of friction than the structure material (elastic material) of the gasket body (5), and a filler material (7) adhered to the outer surface of the resin film (6). The resin film (6) is deformed, for example, in a corrugated shape near the projected parts (53, 54) by a reaction from the inner peripheral surface (26) of the outer tube (2) to provide a small clearance between the resin film and the inner peripheral surface (26). The filling material (7) is filled in the clearance, whereby the sealability of the gasket can be maintained.
