PURPOSE: A method for forming shaped coatings like three-dimensional letters, marks, figures is provided, which are excellent in color and brightness. And coated articles obtained by the method are provided also. CONSTITUTION: The method for forming the shaped coatings is performed by coating a coloring base paint(A) capable of forming a coating having a luminosity(L* value based on the L*a*b* color appearance model prescribed in JIS Z 8729) of more than 10, a magnetic shape-forming transparent paint(B) containing a magnetic metal coating pigment, a pearl pigment, and/or a coloring pigment, and a transparent paint(C) in order on a material, wherein the magnetic metal coating pigment is formed by coating at least one magnetic metal selected from nickel, iron, cobalt, and copper on the surface of a scale state pigment. And the coated articles are obtained by the method. |
