<p>Disclosed is a device which has the shape of a sleeve (20) and covers a conventional syringe (1). The front end (25) of said sleeve (20) is provided with an edge (28) that is applied with a certain pressure to the skin of the patient who is to be treated, said pressure being applied all around the spot at which the syringe needle (8) is to be inserted. The resulting compression of the skin in that area allows the pain which is associated with inserting the needle into the skin to be reduced.</p> |
