The sanding gear consists of a four-wheel wagon (1) which may be pushed or driven along a track used by rail vehicles. The wagon has a tow bar or handle (2) with controls (6) at the end. A drive module with an electric motor (3) can turn the wheels (4) at the tow bar end of the wagon. The wheels (5) at the other end are undriven. The sand hopper (7) can discharge from the bottom (8). An electric motor (15) drives a screw (14) extending through a straight pipe (9) via a sleeve (10) into a flexible hose (11) with a sleeve (12) near its end (13). The end may be plugged into a filling gear.
