PURPOSE: A laser machining device and a laser machining method are provided to remove limit in arrangement of components, to reduce the cost by removing the need for maintenance. CONSTITUTION: A laser machining device has a machining light source(1) and a reference light source for ascertaining a machining position and a machining area of an object(7) to be machined; an opening(3) restricting the shape of the light radiated from the machining light source and the shape of the light radiated from the reference light source to make the light radiated from the machining light source and an optical axis identical; and lenses(5,6) making a transmission image on the object to be machined. The reference light source is a laser diode(4) driven by a current in which high-frequency waves are superposed in a direct current.
