DEVICE FOR DRESSING SURFACE OF CONTACT ROLL IN STRIP GRINDER

PURPOSE: A surface dressing device of a contact roll in a strip grinder is provided to prevent the reduction of the productivity by grinding the surface of the contact roll without removing a strip from a cabin of the strip grinder. CONSTITUTION: A dressing pad(20) is arranged lengthwise a contact roll(106) under a moving frame(10) and stuck to the upper part of the contact roll to dress the surface of the contact roll. A driving unit closes the dressing pad to the surface of the contact roll selectively by comprising a guide member(30), a moving member(31) and a vertical cylinder(32). The guide member is extended lengthwise under the moving frame. The moving member is moved upward and downward through the inner circumference of the guide member and contains the dressing pad lengthwise. The vertical cylinder lifts the moving member by vertically installing under the moving frame and connecting with the upper part of the moving frame. Thereby, the surface of the contact roll is dressed equally without removing a strip.
