FOUR COLOR DRIVING LCD AND DISPLAY PANEL FOR USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A four color driving LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a display panel for using the same are provided to have a pixel array structure for displaying an image with a high resolution. CONSTITUTION: The LCD comprises a lower display panel, an upper display panel faced with the lower display panel. A liquid crystal layer(3) including liquid crystal particles arranged with a predetermined direction is filled between the lower display panel and the upper display panel. The lower display panel includes a lower substrate(110), a TFT(Thin Film Transistor), and a pixel electrode(190) connected to the TFT and made of a transparent conductive material such as ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) or IZO(Indium Zinc Oxide). The TFT switches an image signal voltage applied to the pixel electrode(190). On the lower surface of the lower substrate(110), a lower compensation plate(13) and a lower polarization plate(12). A backlight unit(350) is arranged at the lower portion of the lower polarization plate(12).
