<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set which turns on/off a power supply to its transmission section without affecting the reception characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply control section 6 selects a timing when the power supply of the transmission section is turned on among timings corresponding to bits of a received slot whose reception is not required before a transmission start point of time of a transmission slot in the case of transmission of the transmission slot and sets a count corresponding to the selected timing to a register 43 of a control timing generating section 4. A counter 41 counts up reproduction clocks P1 whose bit rate is equal to a communication rate. A comparator circuit 44 generates an interrupt signal P3 and outputs it to the power supply control section 6 when an output value of the counter 41 is coincident with the set value of the register 43. The power supply control section 6 turns on a power switch 3 in the timing of the interrupt signal P3 and supplies power to the transmission section 2 to allow the transmission section 2 to transmit the transmission slot. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
