PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents generating device which can be used without being accompanied with the complication of configurations or the alternation of a module even at the time of adding any necessary module in each data format. SOLUTION: This contents generating device 10 is provided with a plurality of modules 28(#1 to #n) constituted of programs described in arbitrary development language for preparing contents provided in each data format of the contents to be dealt with on a computer. a script file data base 13 in which a script file for defining a contents preparation procedure and a use module are defined, an engine part 14 for retrieving the script file based on data for contents preparation, pipes 11(#1 to #n) for interpreting a program corresponding to the module 28 defined in the script file, and for outputting the interpretation results, and the engine part 14 for generating contents from the data for contents generation based on the procedure defined in the script file and the interpretation results from the pipes 11(#1 to #n).
