PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of performance defect of a driver caused by a peripheral sealing material in an LCD with built-in driver. SOLUTION: A sealing material 3 passes over a drain driver consisting of a horizontal shift resistor 61 and a sampling part 62, but the edge line of the sealing material 3 is linearized on the region above the horizontal shift resistor 61. As the performance characteristics of a TFT element change right under the sealing material 3, the performance characteristics differ from those of a TFT element outside of the region of the sealing material 3, but the difference of the performance characteristics does not occur at interstages, so an adverse effect on a display can be prevented.
