PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for determining symbol synchronizing time for reproducing data from a symbol of a signal sample generated according to orthogonal frequency division multiplexing. SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with a pilot support tracker, a guard adaptive matched filter, and a symbol time adjustment estimation part. The symbol time adjustment estimation part is equipped with a channel impulse response profile saving part and a signal processor, the signal processor maintains a representation of an impulse response of a channel in the case of passing a received signal through the channel impulse response profile saving part and according to adjustment provided from at least one of the pilot support tracker and the guard adaptive filter processor, the symbol synchronizing time is adjusted.
