PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure necessary illumination at an entrance part, reduce an installation space for luminaire, and reduce a load on maintenance and inspections. SOLUTION: A footplate 10b is fitted to the entrance part of a main frame 3 supporting circulatingly running steps. A cutout 14 is formed in the footplate 10b, and the luminaire 16 is disposed in the cutout 14. The luminaire 16 uses a cold cathode fluorescent lamp 15 as a light source, and disposed to illuminate the upper side of the footplate 10b through a light transmitting member 17.
