PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishhook on whose leader-winding portion a leader is strongly wound in a wholly approximately round state to largely press an outgoing leader on an outgoing leader-disposing side with the wound leader and which can keep the state holding the outgoing leader on the outgoing leader-disposing surface, does not have an angular site on the boundary side between the outgoing leader-disposing side and the half-round side, and does hence not damage and break the wound leader. SOLUTION: This fishhook is characterized by using a shank base end portion arriving an eye portion as a leader-winding portion, forming a half-round face having a small radius of curvature on the half circumference of the cross section of the leader-winding portion, forming a convex shape-like outgoing leader-disposing side on the remaining half circumference, and rounding the boundary of the half-round side and the outgoing leader-disposing side to form a relatively largely round side.
