<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring composition affording a colored image having excellent hue and fastness and to provide an ink composition for ink-jet recording. <P>SOLUTION: The coloring composition comprises a compound represented by general formula (I) L-[Z-dye-(X)n]m (wherein, dye denotes a coloring matter partial structure; X denote each a group selected from a sulfo group and its derivative group, a carboxy group and its derivative group, an amino group, a hydroxy group and a monovalent substituent substituted with at least any one group thereof; Z denotes a bivalent group derived from X; L denotes a linking group; n denotes an integer of ≥0; and m denotes an integer of ≥2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
