<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display body that is difficult to be forged by using a copying machine and that facilitates the verification of truth or falsehood. <P>SOLUTION: This light guide type diffraction grating display body is made up of a three-layer laminated sheet in which a first, a second and a third transparent layer are successively laminated from an observation side, in a display body using a diffraction grating pattern. In this three-layer laminated sheet, a diffraction grating pattern is formed in one or more places in the boundary between the second and third transparent layers; the first and the third transparent layer are made of a transparent material having a low refractive index; and the second transparent layer is made of a transparent material having a higher refractive index than the one constituting the first and the third transparent layer. Consequently, incident light from a position away from the diffraction grating pattern is guided through the second transparent layer, thereby an image by a relief type diffraction grating pattern appears. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
