<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner provided with an indoor unit 1 installed on the ceiling of a room to be changeable of its air blow direction through control by a controller, capable of reducing cost by simplifying constitution for reducing draft, and equalizing temperature distribution in the room. <P>SOLUTION: An infrared sensor 43 to detect if a human (M) exists in a human detecting range C including an underside position of the indoor unit 1 or not is provided on the indoor unit 1. A blow direction control part to control the indoor unit 1 to blow downward as the infrared sensor 43 detects no existence of a human (M) when the indoor unit 1 is operated for heating is provided on the controller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
