PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that transistor characteristics are easy to deteriorate and it is difficult to improve the operation performance and suppress the characteristics deterioration at the same time since the operating voltage for driving a liquid crystal cannot be lowered when a liquid crystal display device uses low-temperature polysilicon TFTs. SOLUTION: In this image display device, an image display circuit is constituted by using a single-channel MOS circuit provided with a low-concentration impurity diffusion area, and a low-voltage peripheral circuit whose driving voltage can be made lower than the liquid crystal driving voltage is composed of a CMOS circuit for reducing the power consumption.
