PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot fixing ring demonstrating an excellent connection strength in a circumferential direction of the ring, with a simple structure, while reducing cost and improving reliability, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: With the both ends of a ribbon shaped member of a rolled metal opposed each other, the both ends are joined by friction agitation joining. The manufacturing method comprises an aligning step for aligning a plurality of ribbon shaped members of rolled metal having the both ends butting each other so that the butting parts are aligned on a line, a joining step for joining the butting parts by friction agitation joining to form a joint part, by moving a rotation slope of a friction agitation joining device along the line of the butting parts, and a separation step for isolating the joint part to separate the ring shaped members into each member.
