PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for affording a molded product of artificial marble designed to stick a chemical to the surface of the molded product of the artificial marble, to exhibit effects with the chemical, i.e. antistaining effects, anti-adhesion effects, aromatic effects, deodorizing effects, mothproof effects and antimicrobial effects, to have high functionality and sustain high functions over a long period by rubbing the surface of the molded product of the artificial marble even when the chemical on the surface of the molded product of the artifical marble evaporates or runs off with the passage of time. SOLUTION: The composition for affording the artificial marble is designed to compound a thermosetting resin with an additive such as a filler, a patterning material, an internal mold release agent or a curing agent, cast the resultant synthetic resin composition into a mold for casting/mold and cure the synthetic resin composition. The composition is obtained by adding and compounding microcapsules sealing an antistaining agent in the interior, breaking the microcapsules and discharging the antistaining agent when the surface of the artificial marble is rubbed.
