PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless input system that can identify whether data are from a normal input device or not without increasing data transmission volume from a wireless input device such as a wireless keyboard; and a transmission device and a reception device for use in the system. SOLUTION: The wireless input system comprises the transmission device comprising the input device and a transmitter connected to the input device, and the reception device comprising a computer and a receiver connected to the computer, wherein the reception device receives and recognizes an identification code transmitted by the transmission device along with input data, to check the transmission device for validity. The transmission device comprises checksum transmitting means for affixing and transmitting a checksum indicating validity of the identification code, and the reception device comprises identification code verifying means for verifying whether the received identification code is a valid code or not with the checksum.
