PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplant immunological rejection-avoiding agent which utilizes the characteristic of a TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) on the basis of its expression and can effectively avoid the immunological rejection in a live organ transplant operation, and to provide a method for avoiding the transplant immunological rejection (transplanted piece rejection reaction). SOLUTION: This transplant immunological rejection-avoiding agent utilizes the characteristic of the TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) on the basis of its expression and can effectively avoid the immunological rejection in a live organ transplant operation, and the method for avoiding the transplant immunological rejection (transplanted piece rejection reaction). The transplant immunological rejection-avoiding agent is characterized by containing TRAIL as an active ingredient. The method for expressing the TRAIL comprises stimulating a live transplant tissue or its peripheral tissue with cytokine or a cancer chemotherapeutic agent to avoid the transplant immunological rejection in the live organ transplant operation.
