PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car of an elevator not allowing the removal of a door. SOLUTION: A car stop member 52 is disposed between the loading area of a car floor 36 and upper and lower doors 40 and 48. The car stop member 52 of a plate-like member can be formed by using various raw materials such as metal and resin. By the mounting of this car stop member 52, a vehicle can be prevented from colliding with a door to securely prevent the door from coming off. Also, when a worker slidably moves an upper door 40 upward, a pulley 46 fixed to the upper door 40 is also moved upward to move the car stop member 52 along a sliding groove 31.
