PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric drive system with a differential steering. SOLUTION: This electric drive system comprises a first output member 34, a second output member 36, and an electric motor 28 having an output shaft 30 with a rotating axis. The output shaft 30 is operably engaged with the first and second output members 34 and 36. A differential steering system 40 is disposed between the electric motor 28 and the first and second output members 34 and 36, and comprises a planetary gear device assembly 44. A steering motor 70 is operably engaged with at least one planetary gear device assembly 44, and corrects the rotating speed of at least one planetary gear device assembly 44. Thus, the steering motor can be operated to adjust the rotating speed of one of the first and second output members 34 and 36 relative to the rotating speed of the other of the first and second output members 34 and 36.
