PURPOSE: A DVD(Digital Versatile Disc) changer for a car and a driving method thereof are provided to select a desired disc conveniently and easily by displaying a sort and a title for the discs of each storing address after distinguishing the sort and the title of the disc in the DVD changer. CONSTITUTION: A DVD mechanism(101) stores at least more than two discs, and rotates the disc by extracting the selected disc from the stored discs and loading the selected disc to a tray. The first memory(106) stores a playback order of the selected disc and the information for the searched discs. The second memory(107) stores the program data for reading the sort, the title, and the storing address of each stored disc, and decoding the information read from the selected disc. A controller(103) searches/displays the sort and the title for the discs of each storing address, and plays the A/V(Audio/Video) information recorded in the disc by extracting the selected disc.
