FIELD: purification of viscous liquids from coarsely dispersed liquids. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a device for purification of liquids from of mechanical impurities, that may be used for purification of viscous liquids such as oils from coarsely dispersed liquids. The device contains two components, which longitudinal axes are in parallel and that make contact with the purified medium. The first component is installed with a positive allowance along all the length between the lateral surfaces of the first and second components, that is commensurable with an averaged particle size of the mechanical impurities, and with a capability of the first component to revolve in a direction of the purified liquid medium motion to the second component. In a drainage zone of the purified liquid medium on the surface of the first component at the outlet of the positive allowance there is an installed scraper for purification of the surface of this component from a layer of the purified liquid and its removal into a collector for the purified liquid medium gathering. The second component may be made in the form of a cylinder installed with a capability to rotate in direction of rotation of the first component - in a direction of motion of the purified liquid medium.
