<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more easily print announcement information for a user and also print advertisement information that is more suitable depending on a user. <P>SOLUTION: Information as about a toner cartridge manufacturer ID or a user announcement is read from the storage element of a toner cartridge and the use history information of a color laser printer stored in the ROM of a controller is fetched (S100, S110). Based upon the manufacturer ID or the use history information, user announcement information to be printed is selected (S120), and then the user announcement information selected is printed (S140).
